Preparing data for adherence calculations with AdhereR

Adherence to medication is defined as the agreement between prescribed and actual medication use. Adherence metrics are often computed from EHD based on a single data source, such as pharmacy dispensing, or other administrative data. However, information about the medication prescribed and dispensed to a patient in a given time period may be found in different data sources, which become increasingly accessible for linking and thus for a more precise description of adherence patterns.
